Fursac by De Rrusie
« THE FIRST BUT TWICE » - CHAPITRE 2
Fursac worked on an exclusive capsule collection with painter De Rrusie following the autumn 2021 exhibition in their Paris store on rue Richelieu.
The 12-piece collection marks De Rrusie’s first foray into the world of fashion. It features a suit in black wool imagined to let the wearer create with ease or a wool-cashmere blend coat. Colourful straight-hemmed shirts transport you into De Rrusie’s own creative world. Printed T-shirts and long-sleeved jersey in a honeycomb weave complete the collection along with accessories, such as silk scarves printed with the artist’s work.
« I’ve always had a desire to design a wardrobe from A to Z. I set out to make a set of quality pieces that could be worn day-to-day, fit my way of living and reflect my creative processes. I have known Fursac since I was a teenager and I have always been fascinated by what they do. I am truly honoured to be allowed this space and to benefit from their knowhow on this project».
« De Rrusie is an incredibly talented artist. He constantly seeks to further his understanding of the things that he likes and that inspire him, showing a rare sense of commitment. I have a tremendous respect for his art, his way of working and how he devotes himself to it body and soul. We gave him carte blanche, so he could be free to bring his unique signature, vision and taste to the world of Fursac »
