Removing pilling

Caring for wool sweaters is essential to preserve their softness, shape, and natural warmth. By adopting the right habits, you can extend the life of your favorite pieces while maintaining their comfort and elegance.

TO REMOVE PILLING, TRY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING GENTLE METHODS:

- Fabric shaver: Use a special pilling razor, moving it lightly across the knit in the direction of the fibre. Always proceed with a steady, gentle hand.

- Pumice stone: A pilling stone can also work wonders. Rub gently over affected areas to lift away pills without damaging the fabric.

- Tape: In a pinch, a piece of sticky tape can lift pills — just press and pull away quickly.

- Soft brush: A dedicated clothing brush can gently comb the surface and remove light pilling without harming the fibres.

After de-pilling, it’s a good idea to wash and store the garment properly to help prevent future buildup.
